JOIN US FOR A ROCKING SUNDAY EVENING, AND BE PART OF ESCRS’ MANY CHARITABLE PROJECTS!
All funds raised from this concert shall go directly towards ESCRS-supported projects in low to middle income countries, principally in Sub-Saharan Africa.
These projects include a “Training the Trainers” Programme with the Community Eye Healthcare Unit at the University of Cape Town, which trains ophthalmic surgeons from over 20 African countries, as well as direct expert support with wetlabs at the COECSA (College of Ophthalmology of Eastern, Central and Southern Africa) Annual Congress.
In particular, ESCRS has partnered on one major project with the Barcelona-based charity, Eyes of the World, to provide cataract surgery in northern Mozambique as well as another cataract-orientated project with the Blantyre Institute for Community Outreach (BICO) in Malawi.
