What is Speed Mentoring?

Speed mentoring is a dynamic and interactive session where mentees have the opportunity to engage with experienced mentors in short, focused conversations. This format allows for the exchange of knowledge, guidance, and networking in a time-efficient manner.

Registration for the Speed Mentoring sessions is possible through the ESCRS Congress registration system.

  • Cost: €10 per day (for registered Congress attendees)
  • Age Range: 0–12 years
  • Maximum Stay: 4 hours at a time
  • Break Requirement: Parents must take children out for food and fresh air after 4 hours; they may return after 1 hour.

Get ready to move with purpose at our 5K Charity Run / Walk during the 44th Congress of the ESCRS in London.

Join fellow delegates for an energising early-morning run and support the ESCRS BoSS (Building our Sustainable Society) initiative, helping to promote inclusivity in ophthalmology and beyond.

Set your alarm for 12 September 2026 at 07:00 and kick off the day with an inspiring 5K experience. Starting and finishing at the Excel London, the route takes participants on a scenic route along the Royal Docks —an unforgettable way to begin the morning in London.

Registration is EUR 25* for doctors and EUR 40* for industry representatives, and includes entry to the run, water, and a commemorative T-shirt for those who register before 31 July 2026. Most importantly, proceeds from the event will help support ESCRS charitable initiatives.

 

Registration for the 5K Charity Run / Walk is possible through the ESCRS Congress registration system.

 

Important notes
  • No lockers, changing rooms, or showers will be available, so please arrive ready to run.

  • Medical and emergency services will be on standby throughout the event.

  • Participation is at your own risk, and all participants should ensure they are fit to take part.

  • Places are limited to 500 runners and walkers.
